Walk the space first
List the rooms, storage areas, desks, chairs, tables, shelves, boxes, and fixtures that should leave. Mark anything that must stay.
Photograph every room
Take a wide photo of each room and close-ups of large or unusually heavy items. Include loading zones, parking, elevators, stairs, and access doors.
Coordinate building access
Confirm who can unlock the space, where a vehicle can load, and whether the property manager has any move-in or move-out requirements.
Separate special materials
Call out dense debris, electronics, refrigerators, freezers, demolition material, or anything that may need separate handling or pricing.
